What do you do at Women's Circle? I've never been to one before.

Women's Circle is a group of women within a safe space with no judgement, supporting, nurturing and holding space for one another. We connect, meditate a little, share stories, laugh, cry and everything in between.

Do I need to bring anything to Women's Circle?

Accepted Answer

Nope, just yourself and an open heart. 
**If you've prepaid your session nothing is required, however if you are paying cash you just need to bring along and pop it in the brown chest as you walk in.

I'm shy and nervous to come to Women's Circle on my own

Yes I totally understand. I get social anxiety too. If you're anxious or nervous simply send me an email and I can meet you at the gate to welcome you in. BUT there is nothing but love and comfort as my community is full of AMAZNG women who all support each other with a friendly smile and hello.

What happens if I can't make a meditation session I've pre-booked?

Group Meditation 4 Week Session Pass - If you are unable to attend a session you've pre booked, you are welcome to transfer your session to another meditation group during the course of your 4 week block, however you will need to make contact via email kara@karavaina.com minimum 12 hours prior. Should you not turn up and not advise prior you will forfeit your purchased session.

Group Meditation Casual Session - If you are unable to attend a session you've pre booked I'm happy to offer you 1 transfer of session (not continual ongoing transfers), however you will need to make contact via email kara@karavaina.com minimum 12 hours prior. Should you not turn up and not advise prior, you will forfeit your purchased session.

Do I have to lay down to meditate?

No you don't. You are welcome to meditate in whatever position you are comfortable in. Whether that is sitting on a chair, sitting on the floor or laying down it is completely up to you and how you feel comfortable.

I've never meditated before, can I join a session?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course! Meditation is suitable for all levels, from beginners through to experienced as it's a "practice and a tool" that we continually do and use to calm our mind. Kara will ensure you are supported through.

How do I know Reiki is right for me?

PEOPLE WHO HAVE A NAGGING FEELING THAT SOMETHING IN THEIR LIFE OR BODY AND MIND IS OUT OF BALANCE OR THEY FEEL LIKE THEY ARE STRUGGLING WITHIN THEMSELVES AND THEIR ENVIRONMENT USUALLY FIND REIKI AT THE PERFECT TIME FOR THEM. THE FACE THAT YOU ARE READING THIS INFORMATION COULD BE THE SIGN THAT YOUR BODY AND MIND IS READY TO HEALING AND EXPERIENCE GROWTH.​

What to expect during a Reiki session?

YOU WILL COMPLETE A CONFIDENTIAL CLIENT HISTORY FORM THAT OUTLINES THE AREAS IN YOUR BODY AND LIFE THAT YOU WOULD THE SESSION TO FOCUS ON. THIS WILL ALSO HELP ME MONITOR YOUR PROGRESS FROM SESSION TO SESSION. ONCE YOU HAVE ASKED ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE, YOU WILL LIE FULLY CLOTHED ON A THERAPY TABLE AND RELAX.  I WILL PLACE MY HANDS OVER YOUR BODY OVER VARIOUS PARTS IN A SEQUENTIAL METHOD. AT THE END OF THE SESSION, YOU CAN DISCUSS ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE WITH ME.

What feeling or sensations will I experience during Reiki?

Once you take place and relax on our comfy bed you will close your eyes to relaxing and soothing music, During the session you may experience flashing lights, warm sensation, flashing visualisation however some people experience none of these at all. Please know that whatever you experience it is completely normal as Reiki energy goes where it is required and we all respond differently.

Are there any side effects of Reiki?

Some people feel deeply relaxed, some feel cold, or have a cry to release blockages. Everybody responds differently to the energy as the energy goes where it is required and assists with moving emotional blockages. I recommend drinking water to help shift the energy, ground yourself and rest after the session.
