Comparison is the thief of joy

Don't you agree? Comparing yourself to that of others steals your joy because you spend too much time overthinking how you could be like them, worrying about whether they agree in your beliefs, if their journey has been as hard as yours.

But Why do we do it? I'm well aware that I shouldn't do it but occasionally I still do it. However recently I was reminded to STOP IT and it was just the kick up the arse I needed. I've spent so much time over the years worrying about what others thought, comparing my journey, life, thoughts, actions to others and its achieved absolutely nothing except me overthinking things and stealing my happiness. So I'm here to give you the kick up the arse and tell you to STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS.

Over the last twelve months I've had so many people say to me "you seem so happy", " you are looking great", "you are doing wonderful things" and the truth is I'm loving what I'm doing and am finally happy being me. I'm confident in my size 14 clothes, am rocking my new blonde hair do and loving working with Women in Biz of all shapes and sizes and inspiring them to be just be them. I finally feel I'm now living my authentic life and want to inspire you to do the same.

I've been working with lots of Women in Biz over the last 8 months, mentoring them in their business and finding what their real purpose and why is that makes them do what they do. Majority of them think they have it down pat but to be honest 99% of them then realise that the bigger picture of their past has had a huge impact on their thought process and mindset. This is something that I've loved working on with them, not only to watch them grow and see how its helped their business but its been therapeutic for me as well, helping me grow, develop and share my "why" and "story" to help others relate.

My 2 catch phrases I swear by are "Authenticity touches the Soul" and "Everything thats happening TO you is happening FOR you" so embrace it. You really can have an impact on others and be driven by that joyful feeling when you are following what you are meant to do...finding your purpose in life.

Life isn't always easy and its always easier to let people think that everything is ok because our "ego" gets in the way but you will be surprised how helpful, supportive and loving others can be when you share your real story. Don't be fooled by the materialistic bullshit in life, people disconnect from it and see straight through it.

So, stand up, put your "big girl pants on" and get your shit together cos you were put on this earth to follow a path, and the challenges you have faced are leading you to a different path to teach you. Its all in the journey. Take this as the kick up the arse you needed because you have so much to offer!

If you are wanting to find out more about "your purpose and why" then email me at to book a creative mentoring session.
